Tarn House offers catering for groups of 8 - 18 people for special occasions and other celebrations. Indeed if 8 or more of you wish to book our restaurant you can hire it for any occasion. You will not only enjoy exclusive use of our restaurant but also have sole use of an adjacent open-fire lounge.

Tarn House is a traditional, working, family farm, set in a remote but beautiful corner of Cumbria. The house, dating back to 1664, but undoubtedly with earlier origins, boasts a fascinating history and retains most of its original features. Of note are the two huge sandstone arches above the fireplaces in the kitchen and dining room.

The surrounding landscape is untamed, desolate, unyielding, but always, even in the worst weather, incredibly beautiful. The Tarn attracts many species of birds and other wildlife.

These qualities make Tarn House an ideal venue for that special celebration - a birthday party, a retirement party, a wedding or simply a relaxing night out with your friends.
